Software

Make SDC Software tools operational to be used by production environments, both on micro data and tabular data from specific surveys

During the CASC project we have made a major step forward in the development of the ARGUS software for SDC. Several new techniques have been added and are available for the users. In CASC we have concentrated on the new methods to be implemented and

However there might be practical problems to use these techniques and the ARGUS software in the statistical production process. Several NSI’s use different techniques to store and manipulate data. The survey described in section 1 should also focus in these problems and will serve as input for the work to make the ARGUS twins more easily usable in the day-to-day production process of an NSI and/or Eurostat.

We will restrict ourselves here to these practical points. The new major steps forward (inclusion of new techniques and algorithms) will be listed under topic 5 (the priority list) and hopefully be realised in a successor CENEX.
